I took a 5 pound ‘bribe’ to write this. But my conscience is clear because I was going to write some kind words anyway, before the manager’s offer to write a review. That avoided paying a fiver to leave my bag at reception for a few hours after check out. Easy has become my go to hotel when I occasionally pass thru Manchester. The price is an unbeatable attraction. So too is the location. The hotel could hardly be closer to Manchester city centre, a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Gardens tram stop. And just a few minutes walk from both Piccadilly and Victoria rail stations. On the doorstep are many restaurants and pubs, Chinatown and the village are a stroll away. The triangular-shaped building resembles the flat iron landmark in New York city. Big flagstones on the floor of entrance show the building’s age. So do the original brick walls and high wooden ceilings retained in rooms. The vintage heavy wooden entrance door is also still there. But the modern sliding door replacement somehow takes ages to shudder open. Check-in and out with friendly staff is a breeze. Rooms are small and probably best for solo travellers to avoid a tight squeeze. Noise from next door was heard last time I stayed but not this maybe because not so busy? Comfy double bed, adjustable heating control, small wall mounted tv and strip lighting for dimming adds to coziness.

About 2 minutes walk from the town centre, was really clean, exceptional for the price compared to all the other hotels around the area! The staff were really nice they are a huge compliment to the hotel. There was a coffee machine that did coffees, teas, hot chocolate and free hot water. There was a vending machine with snacks in it. There was a lift and stairs, the hallways were immaculately clean. We had free wifi, a tv with lots of channels, a huge window. The room was small but very modern and had an exposed brick wall which was super beautiful. We would definitely stay here again it was superb, i really recommend it!

Great budget hotel for a quick trip! Fantastic location, easy to check in and out. Friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for those who plan on spending no time in the room! The rooms in the hotel were very small which was fine as we spent all of our time out in the city. It was a bit of a squeeze with all our bags etc but we made it work! (Think slightly bigger than a room on a ferry). My sister had a twin room which felt much more spacious so I would recommend that for those looking for a little more space. The black out blind in the room was also very welcome on the following morning of our stay!

Absolutely everything! The staff were so friendly. I arrived quite late and I was greeted by the friendliest staff. I had a couple of questions. I wanted to fill up my water bottle and there was a water machine with chilled and normal temperature water. I wondered if I could have a quieter room and this was accomodated too. My room was so spacious and I loved the exposed brick feature too! Plenty of space, big windows with a gorgeous view. I even asked for earplugs and they had a bowl of those as well. The rooms were quiet and I couldn't hear anyone else at all.

The members of staff are some of the friendliest workers at a hotel that I have ever encountered. Genuinely so helpful and great with answering any questions I had during my stay. On top of that they were also so easy to talk to, really felt like I was welcome in the hotel. I forget the names of the gentleman i spoke with in the evening and the lady i spoke with in the morning but i couldn't have asked for better staff
